After the first lesson of Contemporary & New Media Art, I don't have any questions about it. Maybe I haven't catch up.=(
I need some more time to swallow the sources that Linda gave us.

Linda introduced a lot of artists to us. But what make me most impressive is she told us about her Holga camera.
Every Holga camera is unique, every shot depends on the shutter. I want a Holga camera, too!

We had our first lesson with Audrey yesterday, we had to choose one of the works of Robert Rauschenberg and discuss about it. My group chose 'Broadcast' 1959. It is a painting with different mediums such as comb, paper, oil...etc. Also, there were two radio nobs behind the canvas.
One is to control the volume and the other is to tune the channel. We can see the word 'help' in the painting, so that why we think that Rauschenberg wanted to express some feelings, maybe frustrating. Which was caused by real world and the radios.

#2 - Surrealism
Surrealism is a cultural movement and artistic style that was founded in 1924 by Andrey Breton. Surrealism style uses visual imagery from the subconscious mind to create art without the intention of logical comprehensibility.

The movement was begun primarily in Europe, centered in Paris, and attracted many of the members of the Dada community. Influenced by the psychoanalytical work of Freud and Jung, there are similarities between the Surrealist movement and the Symbolist movement of the late 19th century.

Some of the greatest artists of the 20th century became involved in the Surrealist movement, and the group included Giorgio de Chirico, Man Ray, Ren Magritte, and many others.

The Surrealist movement eventually spread across the globe, and has influenced artistic endeavors from painting and sculpture to pop music and film directing.

The greatest known Surrealist artist is the world famous Salvador Dali.

Our idea came from the Song of Uncertain Length Performer which balanced bottle on own head and walks about singing or speaking until bottle falls in 1960. But we changed bottle to apples. We walked in front of the Apple Store in Festival Walk.
